A Message from the Prez

As we approach our first anniversary of organization, MRHS has been moving forward with several projects.

The signal tower in Coraopolis at Montour Trail mile 0.5 has been refurbished and several new interpretive signs have been placed along the Montour's old Right-of-Way. There are more signs to come and we are also formulating a design for permanent signs to replace these temporary ones.

Of course, the X 1 crane project continues, as we scrape, grind, brush and scale off old paint and rust to make way for a new coat of paint. Stop by at Trail mile 30 in Peters Township and check us out.

All our work is done by volunteers. Not all is physical labor. We thank those who grind, paint, clean and do the physical chores, but we also need those who man the keyboards, phones and information posts. We are always looking for more help and new members, so if you might be interested, send us an e-mail and join our group.
